Entrepreneurship Support

The SWWDC is dedicated to providing pathways to self-sufficiency, and one of the ways the SWWDC does this is through the promotion of entrepreneurship. Since 2010 the SWWDC has held entrepreneurial networking events in both Cowlitz and Clark Counties. These events are aimed at bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and business professionals for networking opportunities and growing new businesses.

Cowlitz BizNet

In Cowlitz County, Cowlitz BizNet events occur quarterly at the Backstage Café in Kelso, WA. Information for future events will be posted on this page, or please feel free to contact Mary Brown at (360) 567-3170 or by email at mbrown@swwdc.org.

PubTalk

In Clark County, PubTalk events occur bi-monthly on the third Wednesday of the odd-numbered months. Clark County PubTalk™ is a high-energy networking event designed to create connections for entrepreneurs, investors, and other professionals for the purpose of growing new companies in our area. The event attracts around 130 participants and brings a stimulating blend of high-caliber networking, educational presentations, and a business pitch opportunities by local startups.
