Engineering Employment Symposium — November 2009
The WIRED Northwest team is pleased to report that the Engineering Employment Symposia held on November 12 in Portland and on November 16 in Vancouver received rave reviews from the hundreds of engineers who attended.
Registrants were able to choose from a variety of breakout sessions in three course tracks: 1) job search, 2) entrepreneurship and 3) education and training. The Seven Mistakes Job Seekers Make Online and Highly Effective Networking were just two of the well-received workshops. Twenty-four different breakout options were offered; most were highly interactive allowing the audience to receive relevant and timely feedback related to the challenges they are facing in today’s difficult job market.
