Every young person deserves the education and training needed to make it in today's
world.
Under the guidance of the Youth Council
and local workforce providers, young people throughout Southwest Washington have
access to a variety of resources to help with education, job training, and work
experience opportunities.
Youth Programs blend youth development with employment and training activities.
Some examples of programs and specific services include the following:
- Drop-out prevention/Alternative School
- Summer employment
- Paid and unpaid work experience
- Occupational skills training
- Leadership development opportunities
- Supportive services
- Adult mentoring
- Follow-up services
- Guidance and counseling
